Buhari running ‘chop – I – chop’ government, says Ayodele Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has
described President Muhammadu Buhari’s
regime as a “chop-I-chop” government.
This was contained in a statement by his
Special Assistant on Public Communications
and New Media, Lere Olayinka, in Ado Ekiti
Fayose flayed Buhari’s promise to members
of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that
the Federal Executive Council (FEC) would be
expanded to bring in more party
He said: “Since those who manipulated
votes for Buhari, especially in the north
have already been settled with our collective
wealth, it appears that it is now the turn of
those they believe would assist them to
retain power in 2019.”
The governor also called on those who left
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the
APC to return, adding that they were
strangers in the ruling party.
He buttressed his point with a statement by
the Comptroller General of the Nigerian
Customs Service, Colonel Hameed Ali (rtd).
According to Ali: “The ruling APC could not
fulfil its promises because more than 50 per
cent of the positions in Buhari’s
government are being held by members of
the PDP, who fought against the
actualisation of a Buhari Presidency.”
He stressed that it was sad that the
president was only concerned about
settling his party members, while the
people were facing economic recession.

Buhari’s cluelessness, with foodstuffs and
drugs out of the reach of ordinary
Meanwhile, a pro-democracy group, Human
Rights Writers Association of Nigeria
(HURIWA), has urged President
Muhammadu Buhari to rejig his anti-
corruption team for greater efficiency.
A statement by the National Coordinator,
Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National
Media Affairs Director, Miss Zainab Yusuf,
made this appeal in Abuja yesterday.
The group urged Buhari to sack the Acting
Chairman of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu,
the Attorney General of the Federation
(AGF), Abubakar Malami and the Director
General of the Department of State Service
(DSS), Lawal Daura.

constitute obstacles to the fight against
